So tired.

KayJay has missed a few or her morning sessions this week. I think she’s been more tired than she let on and the excitement of those early starts has worn a bit thin!
Maybe if she was entering more competitions she’s feel more like pushing herself, but we’re happy for her to make her own pace [...]

KayJay feeling better!

As you can see, Sk8r Grrrl is feeling a lot better. Ankle and finger healed up nicely and she’s back practicing!

This girl is quite flexible. It’s painful for me to even watch her do this sort of stuff!!

First it was her finger…

First little KayJay fell in school and broke a finger. That took a couple of weeks to mend but seems ok now. Today I had another call from school to say she’d fallen off some rocks and sprained her ankle!
I don’t think it’s too serious… currently she’s upstairs watching a movie and eating ice-cream… but [...]

Hand getting better.

KayJay’s finger is improving slowly and she’s been back on the ice a few times. She’s still not back 100% yet but getting there.

First setback.

Ice skating is fraught with injury and so when a skater is hurt, especially if the injury is caused on-ice, the ability to ‘bounce back’ and keep skating is an integral part of the training process. If it happened in competition you could still win or place, as long as you finish your routine.
